implementing the MOU, the second Joint Working Group on Counter Terrorism
is scheduled to be held in the first half year of 2011; Indonesia and India have
signed the Mutual Legal Assistance (MLA) and Extradition Agreement in
January 2011, and currently, both countries are in the process to ratify it.
In Anti Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism regime, as of
June 2011, Indonesia c.q. INTRAC has established 39 Memorandum of
Understandings (MoU) with other Foreign FlUs, c.q. among others Indonesian
Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (INTRAC) has established
34 Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) with Foreign FlUs e.g. AMLO-
Thailand, Bank Negara Malaysia, KoFlU-Republic of Korea, AUSTRAC-
Australia, AMLC-Philippines, NOPCML-Romania, UlC-ltafy, CTIF CFI-
Belgium, SEPBLAC-Spain, GIFI-Poland, UIF-Peru, CAMLMAC-China, FIU of
Mexico, FinTRAC-Canada, FIU of Myanmar, FIU of South of Africa, FIU of
Cayman Island, JAFIO-Japan, FIU of Mauritius, FIU of Bermuda Island, New

Indonesian National Police and The Philippines National Police have decided
to extend Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Preventing and
combating Transnational Crimes and Capacity Building, on 8 March 2011.
Indonesia and European Union (EU) have signed Framework Agreement on
Comprehensive and Partnership (PCA) in November 2009. The PCA has
accommodated the possibility to develop cooperation in combating terrorism
through capacity building, information sharing and policy dialogue. Indonesia
and EU now are in the process to ratify the PCA.
In strengthening capacity building to combat terrorism, the Letter of Intent on
Mutual Cooperation in Capacity Building and Combating Transnational Crimes
between Indonesian National Police and FBI has been signed on 2 March
2011. The US continues to strengthen cooperation with Indonesia in capacity
building, including through organizing short courses and training programs.
Indonesian National Police and Attorney's General Office of the United
Mexican States are currently in the process of finalizing the Memorandum of
Understanding on Preventing and Combating Transnational Crimes and
Capacity Building. The MoU covers the cooperation in dealing with
transnational crimes, including terrorism.
Indonesia has been cooperating with Canada since 2004 in the area of chem-
bio counter terrorism, and Canada has sponsored several training in Chemical,
Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) to the Indonesian officials. Canada
strengthens capacity building through countering terrorism capacity building
assistance programme.
